How to create this beautiful frost design:
-
Apply your base color. For this design, a blue nail polish was chosen, with frost specifically in mind.
-
Wait until your nail polish is surface dry. This takes about 10 minutes, then apply another layer of nail polish.
-
Wait until your nail polish is surface dry again, then use a makeup sponge to apply white nail polish to the edges in gentle, dabbing motions. If needed, dab off some polish on a piece of paper first so you don’t have too much on the sponge. It’s better to have too little and dab on more as needed.
-
Wait at least 15 minutes before stamping the snowflake design on with white stamping polish. I stamped each individual snowflake separately so I could place them exactly where I wanted.
-
Next, apply a thin layer of water-based topcoat – this is to ensure your regular topcoat doesn’t drag the stamped design.
-
Wait about 5-10 minutes.
-
Finish with your favorite topcoat.
Tip: For longer-lasting wear of your design, you can advantageously apply an extra layer of topcoat. Remember to seal the tip of your nail.
