Slanted Lines Design - Step By Step nail art

Slanted Lines Design - Step By Step nail art

This design is made with stencils. A kind of tape that you place on top of the nail, apply nail polish over, and then remove again. The results are SO beautiful, and it’s super easy. See the guide here and learn how. You can use your own favorite colors or use the ones Karina has used. Only your imagination sets the limits.

How to create the design:

  1. Apply a layer of base coat.
  2. Apply 1 layer of nail polish, e.g. Blossom from Picture Polish.
  3. Apply liquid latex around the nails.
  4. To get the same angle on your gradient on all nails, it’s easiest to apply one polish diagonally, from the lower left corner of the sponge to the upper right part of the sponge.
  5. Apply the other polish, e.g. Spring, on the opposite side.
  6. Place the division so that there is an equal amount of each color on the nail.
  7. Dab the sponge slightly from side to side.
  8. Apply 3-4 layers until you think the colors cover the nail.
  9. Remove the liquid latex.
  10. Apply a layer of quick-drying top coat.
  11. Apply liquid latex around the nails again.
  12. Place the stencil so that the middle groove lies over the transition between the two colors on the nail.
  13. Press it down well so it sits close to the nail. Pay special attention to the sides of the nail.
  14. Apply the nail polish to the sponge again, and rotate it so Blossom is dabbed over Spring, and Spring over Blossom.
  15. Dab until the colors cover the previous ones.
  16. As soon as you have applied the last layer to a finger, remove the stencil. Do this for each finger.
  17. Clean the cuticles and remove the latex.
  18. Finish with a layer of quick-drying top coat.
