Zig Zag Rose - Step By Step nail art

Zig Zag Rose - Step By Step nail art

This design is made with Stencils. A kind of tape that you place on top of the nail, apply nail polish over, and then remove again. The results are SO beautiful, and it’s super easy. See the guide here and learn how. You can use your own favorite colors or use the ones Karina has used. Only your imagination sets the limits.

1. Apply a layer of base coat.
2. Apply 1 layer of Is it love or Luster?.
3. Apply a layer of quick-drying top coat to prevent the nail polish from being pulled off when you apply the tape afterwards.
4. Apply cuticle protector around the nails.
5. Place the tape diagonally across the nail, and use as many as there is space for. Here, two pieces of tape are used at a time to create a larger gap.
6. Press the tape down firmly on the nail, including the sides, so that no nail polish can get underneath.
7. Apply Metal of Honor on top. The trick to getting the sharpest and most beautiful edges is to apply the nail polish in the same direction as the tape, and not across it. Also, the tape should be removed as soon as the polish is applied. This will give you a great result.
8. Remove the cuticle protector and tape immediately.
9. Clean the nails with a cleanup brush and acetone.
10. Let everything dry thoroughly, and apply top coat.
11. Now stamp the background color (here silver) on the large leaf so that it aligns with the side of the middle fingernail.
12. Then stamp the outline of the leaf with the dark gray color.
13. Do the same with the small leaf, gently turning it so it aligns with the top edge of the nail.
14. Then stamp the background color of the rose (here pink). This can easily be done several times if you want to make sure the leaves cannot be seen through.
15. Now stamp the outline of the flower with the dark gray color.
16. Clean the nails with a cleanup brush and acetone.
17. Apply a thick layer of top coat to prevent the stamping polish from being ruined. If you want to be absolutely sure your design doesn’t smear and get ruined, you can apply Clear Jelly Stamper top coat before applying your regular top coat.
18. Apply cuticle oil to the cuticles and hand cream to your hands.
